All the Pretty Little Horses is a familar lullaby which many children know by the first three words of its lyrics: "Hush a bye".
As the story goes, this song was originally sung by an African American slave who couldn't care for her own baby because she was kept busy caring for her master's child.
In 1963, Peter, Paul & Mary recorded a version that they called "Hush-A-Bye" in 1963.
Thirty years later, Kenny Loggins recorded a version he named "All the Pretty Little Ponies" on his 1994 release "Return to Pooh Corner."
